Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello, we reside in Hangzhou, a charming and vibrant city. Our apartment is situated in the heart of Hangzhou's CBD, encompassed by numerous large shopping malls.

The transportation amenities are highly convenient, and the subway station and bus stop are precisely beneath the apartment. The distance to the language school is approximately 35 minutes via subway.

We offer housekeeping services and at least three meals per day. The daily care of the child is not a matter you need to be concerned about. We have dedicated personnel to assist in taking care of the child's daily life.

You only need to provide an English language environment at home after school, such as engaging in English conversations, reading books, and so forth. So, that's the fundamental situation.

Job Description

We'll make the daily plans based on the kid's situation. Like I said, you don't have to handle the kid's daily life. What we hope is to improve the kid's English better. At this stage, we mainly focus on the kid's oral pronunciation, listening and such aspects. So we're hoping to have someone who can have daily chats in English with the kid.

At the moment, the kids go to school at about 8:30 and finish school at about 4:30 p.m., during which time you can do what you want. Sometimes children will join some activity classes after school. So, the main work time is between after class and before the kids go to bed. And when we hang out on the weekends. If you need one day off a week, we can negotiate. All the time can be handled flexibly, and this is just a general framework.

Accommodation

I need to explain a little about the accommodation. Our apartment is of course very nice, clean and bright. Since we are planning to have our second child next year, we will need a bedroom around July or August next year. So if you are a short-term au pair, for example, you want to stay in China until July or August 2025, you can live in our guest room, which is also a small suite with a separate bathroom and toilet. We also have another small room, which also has a separate toilet and bathroom, but the overall space is a bit small. Both rooms have a clean environment, and you don't need to worry about the environment of the first room. As I said, if you plan to stay in China for a short time, you can live in our guest room. If our cooperation is very smooth, and you want to take a language course in China and need a long-term stay, if you don't like the smaller room after August 2025, we can negotiate at that time.
