Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Welcome,

We are a family of two, one adult and one child. Phoebe is aged 14. I am a British Airways Cabin Crew. We are an English-speaking family and only English is spoken at home.

We live in a 3-bedroom house in Haslemere and I have one daughter Phoebe who is 14 years old, who attends school in nearby Hindhead, Surrey.
Our local town is a 1-mile walk. Guildford is 25 minutes by car, bus or 13 minutes by train. There is also a good language school in Guildford, and I will encourage you to go for lessons there to learn English. In Haslemere there are 2 pubs full of young people, a shop, post office and plenty of coffee shops. There is also train station that is a 12- minute walk from our house with direct access into Guildford, London and Portsmouth. There is a bus stop down the road and a bus service that takes you into Haslemere or Guildford.

Accommodation
You will have your own double room in my house. We would like you to treat our home as your own (except that smoking is not permitted). We ask that all rooms be kept tidy and that friends staying over should only do so with my permission.

Language School
You will be enrolled at a Language College to attend a course in English for foreign students for the duration of your stay. I can assist you in finding a language school and also contribute £20 a month towards your studies.

We look forward to you starting in January 2020.
