Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

We are delighted to welcome you to our family! We are Christy, Peter, Mila, and Alexander, a lively family of four living in the charming town of Herdecke. Nestled in a beautiful area surrounded by nature, our home offers the perfect blend of tranquility and access to city life.

Herdecke is a small town, but it's full of charm and just 30 minutes from Dortmund by public transport. We love the outdoors and enjoy spending time at playgrounds and eating out. At the same time, we're always up for an adventure, and every weekend we make it a point to explore vibrant cities full of culture, food, and fun - such as Düsseldorf or Cologne.

Our family enjoys cooking and eating together, with fresh, warm meals every night. We also love dining out at restaurants and discovering new cuisines. If you enjoy good food and trying different things, you'll fit right in!

Mila, our toddler, attends kindergarten from 8 AM to 4 PM. She's a bright, energetic little girl who loves to play and learn. Alexander, our youngest, is just two months old and a real joy to be around—he's easy to handle and has a calm demeanor.

Peter works from home, so he’s usually around during the day, while Christy works nearby at the hospital as a doctor. We understand the importance of having time for yourself, so you'll have access to a gym nearby, and our family car will be available for your use when needed. Our apartment is equipped with high-speed internet, perfect for staying connected with family and friends back home or unwinding with a good movie or book. We also have a playstation and and a nintendo switch for you to use.
