Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello and nice to meet you! Hope you’re doing well.

As our current lovely Aupair will come to the end, we are now looking for a new Aupair to start a new journey with us starting this September until at least June 2026.

We are living in a small village called Hermonville in the only Champagne region of France, so there are plenty of grape fields around where we live. And if you're a wine/champagne lover, you will find your paradise here to go on some tasting sessions.

Reims is the city which is close to us, a very clean, calm and historical city. There are two main train stations there which can take you easily to Paris, Lyon and any other cities that you want to visit.

The weather here is like in Paris since we are just less than two hours distance by car, half of the year is cold, sometimes with snow, half of the year is sunny and warm and very pleasant.

Job Description

We expect our Aupair to know well her responsibilities when she is with the kids, showing good manners and habits since it's very important for the kids to have good models at home.

We prefer our new Aupair who likes cooking, as she will need to prepare the meals for the kids.

You also have to be ready to live in a small village where transportations are very little. If you like nature and quiet place, then it will be perfect for you but if you like crowded and lively city life, I'm afraid that you might feel not at your ease.

Daily routine :

I leave in the early morning and come back around 6:30 pm on normal working days. Sometimes I'm away from Monday to Thursday evening.

The kids go to school before 8:30 am, come back for lunch from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and their school finishes at 4:30 pm. They don't have school on Wednesdays.

About your schedule, except for Wednesdays when you need to spend some more time with them, the rest of the four days are mainly about bringing them to school, preparing meals, and picking them up.
You will have your two days weekend, and as much as possible of vacations. You won't have less than 8 weeks vacations during one school year. Feel free to ask me for more details.

Accommodation

We live in a two-floor house with a garden in front of and behind the house.

There are 4 rooms, two bathrooms and two toilets in the house. You will have your private room and you share the bathroom and toilet only with the kids. The parents have their own bathroom and toilet.

We make sure the house is cleaned and tidy up once a week.
