Hello, dear au pairs. We are a small family, or rather I currently live with my son Daniel and daughter Anastasia. Daniel was born in August 2016 and attends a special school as an inclusive child. Anastasia is already 25 years old. We have had a new au pair since February, and in a year from February 2026 we will be looking for new support.
I am a single mother and look after my family alone. That's why I work a lot. I am a doctor and sometimes have night shifts or work on weekends. Daniel is at school from around 7:45 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. - he is driven by a school bus, so you have to wait for him at home. Anastasia leads her own life, although she often helps.

We also have two dogs and a tomcat. The dogs should go out at least twice a day.

We live in a ground floor apartment with a terrace and a small plot of land. Daniel likes to play in the garden, often with our neighbors' children. This requires a little patience from the au pair, as the children are very active.

We live in Nuremberg in a quieter area, but not far from the city center. The nearest bus stop is a 5-minute walk away, and the subway stop is just 2 bus stops away. You can reach the center in about 10 minutes by subway. By bike it would be about 20 minutes, by car about 10-12 minutes.

There are several language schools in Nuremberg.

For me, flexibility is important for au pairs, as I often do spontaneous shifts. And reliability. Our au pair should also be open and be able to talk openly about possible problems or questions so that we can resolve potential conflicts straight away.
