Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Please note:
-we are looking for an au pair with experience in the EU or who has experience as a nanny/householder at the moment.
-we are looking for an au pair age 20 to 24 years old
-we are looking for an au pair who is able to ride a cargo bike
-we are looking for an au pair who speak English well

Loving, welcoming family of 5. We have 3 kids, 2 girls (2 years old and 5 years old) and a boy (6 years). We live in a beautiful town Hilversum, near shops but also near nature.

Or house is 5 minutes from the city center and 5 minutes from the Heath and wood. You can use a bike to go around. Big cities like Amsterdam and Utrecht are just a train ride of 20 minutes from Hilversum.

We are looking for an au pair who will take care of all the kids, play with them, go out with them, do some household tasks like laundry and cooking for them. The oldest kids are going to school. You will spend the most time with the youngest girl of 2,5 years. It is important for us to feel comfortable on a (electric) cargo bike (3 wheels), for picking up the kids from school and bringing them to classes. Our kids love creative activities like: crafting, drawing and building blocks.

We are looking for someone with experience with kids. We are also looking for an active, social person who takes initiative herself to play and do activities with the kids.

We love to welcome an au pair who is supernice for the kids, but also someone who is used to be active during work time: this means going out with the kids and cleaning up the kids stuff.

It is nice when you also are open for light household chores like laundry.

Our kids have a basic knowledge of English , so you can communicate in English with the kids well.

Job Description

*we prefer someone with au pair experience in the EU or who is currently working as a nanny/housholder
*we prefer someone who is between 20 and 24 years old

Your main task will be taking care & playing with the kids. In the Netherlands as an au pair you work 30 hours per week.

Here is a more detailed task description:
-picking up the kids from school with cargo bike
-picking up the kids from play dates
-preparing lunchboxes for the kids
-going to playground/activities in the neighbourhood with the kids
-look after the kids & make sure they are save
-drawing & crafting with the kids

-preparing easy dinner recipes for the kids & sometimes for the family
-making sure to clean up the kids mess around the house after playing with them or after they had breakfast and go to school
-putting in the dishes in & outside of the machine
-putting laundry in laundry in machine, take it out, folding & putting it back in the closet
-sometimes putting kids to bed
-communicating with the parents about the kids

Mostly half of the time you will be alone with our 2,5 year old daughter.

Accommodation

As an au pair you will have your own apartment with lots of privacy next to our house. You will have your own living room, entrance, bathroom & kitchen as well.

We are looking for an independent au pair who is used to taking care of herself as well.

The au pair is always welcome in our house, as we will have dinner sometimes together, but you will have your own Privacy as well. We are sharing a garden where the kids play as well.

The apartment is 40 m2 and has aircon as well.
