Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

*We are looking for a new au pair very soon. Therefore, no visa process should be necessary if possible.*

Dear au pair,

We, a young family with 2 small children from the Munich area, are looking for an au pair who will support us especially with childcare and, as part of our family, also bring some of their history and culture into our midst.
In recent years we have already had a great time with au pairs from very different countries. It was a wonderful experience and now we are looking forward to meeting you :)!
It is very important for us that it is a win-win-win situation for the au pair, our children and us.

We live in a beautiful, spacious house with a large garden on the outskirts of the village of Großhartpenning. This village is 3 km away from the next bigger town Holzkirchen (approx. 17,000 inhabitants, train station, shopping facilities). An on-demand bus goes there. However, a driving licence is necessary to pick up the children from the kindergarten.

Our village is located in the foothills of the Alps, a popular holiday region. Both the nearby Bavarian Alps and the big city of Munich can be reached in about 30-40 minutes by train or car. There are several beautiful bathing lakes nearby. The beautiful landscape also invites you to go for walks, bike tours and (in winter) to use the cross-country skiing trail.

Job Description

The main task is to take care of our two children: play with them, help Dominik doing his homework, eat together, put them to bed....
In addition, there are smaller tasks in the household: clearing the table, cleaning the dishwasher, occasionally washing the children's clothes, tidying up toys,...
Occasionally, evening care for the children may also be necessary.

Simon (dad) often works in the home office during the day, but sometimes also outside the home;
Christa (mum) works 2 days as a teacher and comes back in the (early) afternoon;

As the children are not normally there in the mornings, your working hours would mainly be in the mornings and afternoons.
You will receive a weekly schedule with clear working hours (maximum 30 hours per week).
