Dear Nanny,

Welcome to our family!

Let us introduce ourselves: My name is Anastasia, and I am 33 years old, originally from Germany. My husband, Mitchell, is 37 years old and from Belgium. We moved to Zurich in 2015 and immediately fell in love with this beautiful city. It is incredibly clean, safe, and a wonderful place to live.

Both of us are working professionals—my husband works for a pharmaceutical company, and I work as an executive assistant for a family office. We are expecting our first child, a baby boy, on May 2nd, and we are looking for a reliable, kind, and trustworthy live-in nanny to join us starting in June. It’s very important to us that you not only have experience and good knowledge in your role but also bring warmth and care into our home.

We live in Horgen, a lovely area just outside of Zurich. It’s a peaceful and beautiful place, yet very well connected. The bus and train station are just a five-minute walk from our apartment, and from there, you can reach Zurich city center in about 20 minutes. If you are interested in taking language courses, the nearest language school is also within easy reach.

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time, live-in nanny to join our family starting in June 2025, shortly after the birth of our first child. The ideal candidate will be caring, reliable, and experienced with newborns, providing both practical and emotional support as we adjust to parenthood.

Responsibilities:
• Providing daily care for our newborn (feeding, diaper changes, bathing, dressing, soothing, etc.)
• Assisting with sleep routines and baby development activities (tummy time, playtime, reading, etc.)
• Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the baby
• Light housekeeping related to the baby (laundry, organizing nursery, sterilizing bottles)
• Preparing simple baby meals when needed
• Taking the baby for walks and outdoor activities
• Occasionally accompanying us on family outings or travel
• Maintaining open and clear communication with us regarding the baby’s progress and needs

Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience with newborns is essential (minimum 2–3 years preferred)
• Certified in infant first aid and CPR (or willing to obtain certification)
• Knowledge of baby sleep routines and early development milestones
• Trustworthy, kind, and patient with a calm and loving personality
• Good communication skills and ability to work in partnership with parents
• Fluent in English, or German or both (basic communication in one of these languages is required)
• Proactive and organized, able to take initiative in daily tasks
• Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend support when needed
• Non-smoker

Accommodation

As our live-in nanny, you will have a comfortable and fully equipped living space in our home. Initially, you will sleep in the nursery room, allowing you to be close to the baby during the early months.

At a later stage, you will move to our private one-bedroom apartment located downstairs, whenever our parents are not visiting. This space offers full privacy and independence, including:
• A separate bedroom
• A fully equipped kitchen
• A private bathroom
• Access to a beautiful garden
• High-speed internet and all utilities included
