Dear Au Pair,

We are a young family that has just grown by one member and we're taking on new professional responsibilities, so we really need your help! Our names are Xavi (dad) and Margalida (mom). Our eldest son, Fèlix, born in June 2020, will be thrilled to meet you. Our daughter, Serena, born in November 2023, will be almost a year old when you arrive. Although Xavi works from home with a flexible schedule and I work part-time, we need help taking care of them during the hours we can't. We mainly need assistance with school drop-offs and pick-ups and bedtime routines. We would also appreciate help with household chores (cleaning, cooking, etc.) as if we were a family.

We are 33 and 32 years old, both engineers working in academia. We love sports, nature, and follow a balanced diet. We don't smoke or drink alcohol. We love animals and have adopted pets from shelters. Currently, we live with a dog and a cat.

We live in Igualada, a city of about 40,000 inhabitants. It has all the amenities you might need (except a beach) and excellent transport connections to Barcelona (45 minutes by car or 50 minutes by public transport).

We live near my parents (Fèlix and Serena's grandparents) and my three brothers: Albert, who is 30 and has a one-year-old child, and my 26-year-old twin brothers. We have a close relationship with our family. Everyone is welcoming, and you can join us anytime, but we'll also respect your privacy.

We love languages. At home, we speak Catalan, but we can also speak Spanish, English, French, Italian, and German.

I was an Au Pair in 2016 in Munich, and I understand the experience well. I am social and easy-going, while Xavi is responsible and task-oriented. We make a great team and look forward to your contribution! We seek a cheerful and responsible person to join our family. We value open communication and common sense.

I work as a high school teacher in town, while Xavi works at a university in Barcelona and coaches volleyball. I have just restarted my doctoral thesis. Xavi will be on paternity leave until January 2025, when Serena starts school. We need help with the children’s school runs and evening routine, especially when Xavi is coaching.

We believe this experience will be mutually beneficial, providing invaluable help and enriching cultural and linguistic exchange. We hope to build a lifelong friendship.
