Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,

We are Valerie (French) and Giuseppe (Italian) and live with our three children in a house with garden in the greater Munich Metropolitan Area. Our children are Mariano (adorable ball of energy, 3 years), Diane (cutest little princess, 2 years) and Giacomo (smiling and cuddly baby, 2 months).

We are looking for an au pair to make our life a bit easier. We would like you to be part of our family, like a big sister for our children. Mariano and Diane are going to the kindergarten on week days, and Giacomo is staying home with mummy.

In the week-ends, we like to go to the playground, forest, zoo, museums and do small trips to visit Bavaria. You are more than welcome to join.

The children speak English, French and a bit of Finnish, but also understand German and Italian. Please, note that we do not speak German at home so we can not apply for an au pair visa if you are coming from outside the EU.

Job Description

Weekdays:
- the 2 oldest children are going to kindergarten full day. We need help to prepare the children in the mornings.
- help minding the baby in the evening while we are putting the oldest to bed.
- twice a week, to mind the baby for few hours so mummy can clean the house and eventually sleep.
- help mummy if the children are sick and can't go to daycare.

Week end:
- to mind the 2 oldest children or the baby (not both at the same time) for few hours either Saturday or Sunday

In general, to participate in the basic household activities (for ex. setting the table, loading the dishwasher).

Accommodation

We are living in a large house on 4 floors with a small garden. You will have a large bedroom on the last floor with balcony, and your own bathroom with bathtub.

We are located in Ismaning, in the suburbs of Munich. There is the S-Bahn (train) at 5 min walk from the house with a direct line going to the city center (25 min) or to the airport (20 min).
