Work abroad in Gwendolin's family for 5-12 Months starting from Sep 2024 as an Au Pair and Nanny to take care of 3 children of 1 - 5 years old & 6 - 10 years old in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia Germany

Dear future Au Pair,
we are a family of 5 looking (2 year old son and boy and girl twin born 6/2020) for someone to assist us with our daily routine. We live in one of the bigger cities in Germany (Cologne) that is also known for its friendly people. We are an internationally mixed family (German/Australian/Ethiopian) and speak German, English and Amharic. But we all also speak German fluently. Our older son goes to school now and the twins to Kindergarden right next to the school. The main help we currently need is getting everyone ready in the morning and taking the children to day care and then help in the afternoons/evening until max 8pm. Because we are both Resident doctors our work also has night and weekend shifts. We will make sure not to have night or weekend shifts at the same time so you will never work at night (that is not allowed in the contract anyway). Of course you will have an extra day of compensation during the week if you help on the weekend and we will make sure that you dont work more then the 30 hours per week. With our former Au pairs we always had a weekly working shedule so it was clear to everyone which times where free and which times we needed help and that worked very nicely for both sides.
We have a cleaning lady who comes once a week. We are an open and honest family and are looking for someone who genuinely wants to work with children and can show initiative. We hope that you feel comfortable in speaking openly and letting us know if there is any problem that needs to be resolved.
