Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello dear future Au-pair :)

We are an international family living in Switzerland since 5 years.
Turkish and Italian couple, we have a 16 years-old boy and a 2 years-old girl. We are a mix of different cultures and 3 languages are spoken at home; Turkish, Italian and the common between all of us: English :)

Me and my husband (45 and 43), we are working full-time. Our son is going to the international school here (grade 10) and our daughter is going to daycare 5 days per week.

We need an au-pair at home helping with our daughter before we leave for the daycare in the mornings (usually between 06:30-08:00) and some hours after daycare times between she comes back until she sleeps. Apart from taking care of our daughter, we also expect help with the daily routine house related tasks during the day, when no one is at home (tidying, making the beds, daily cooking, ironing few times a week, not only for the baby but for the family).
We expect a total daily working time of around average 5-6 hours in the weekdays, and maybe a total of 3-4 hours in the weekend (for sure 1 full weekend day to be free).
In short, we need a helping hand at home but also someone who will become part of our family :)

We live in a village (Küssnacht Am Rigi) well connected with public transport (both bus and train). Luzern is the closest city (15 mins drive), Zurich is 30 mins drive from where we are.

Job Description

As mentioned above, for us the most important is when our daughter is at home, helping with her care. Therefore experience with babies is essential for us.
If you have no or very limited experience with baby-sitting, please do not contact us..

After this very important task, the rest is about daily cooking, ironing and helping with light household tasks.

We believe we need a 30 hours of work per week but there might be cases where we need more, there we will be paying the extra hours.

Here where we are, the spoken language is German, and for sure we would like to support you with your German language courses. As our daughter is spending quite substantial time in the daycare 5 days per week (she is not at home between 08:00-17:30, you will have enough time for attending a German school.
