We are seeking a dedicated live-in resident female carer to support an 82-year-old Nepalese man living at home with his wife. This is a unique opportunity to provide essential care and companionship in a warm, respectful environment that feels like home.

Position:
Resident Carer (Live-in) – from February 2025
Location:
Canberra

Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily personal care routines (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Support medication management and health monitoring
• Prepare nutritious, culturally appropriate meals
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities
• Assist with light household duties to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Support mobility and accompany to medical appointments as needed

Requirements:
• Previous experience in aged care or a related field is preferred
• Genuine compassion and understanding of elderly care needs
• Respectful, patient, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Fluent in Nepali; familiarity with Nepalese customs and traditions
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and responsibly
• Basic understanding of health and safety practices
• Flexible hours to suit your other employment or study
• 10 hours per week of active care plus another 10-15 hours of less active care. Total up to 25 hours per week plus an on-call allowance.
• PAYG or ABN arrangement considered.
