Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Looking for an au pair from June – for 3 to 12 months
Languages spoken at home: German, French, and English

Hello & bonjour!
We are a warm and lively French-German family with two young children, living in Germany close to the French border – just a 20-minute bike ride from Strasbourg. Starting in June, we are looking for a kind and reliable au pair to join our family for a period of 3 to 12 months.

Who we are:
We’re a family of four who love being outdoors, exploring nature, cycling, cooking and enjoying good food, playing, laughing, and dancing. We live in a spacious house with a garden in a quiet and green neighborhood – perfect for relaxing and enjoying family life.

Our children:
? Our 4-year-old son is curious, energetic, and always ready for an adventure.
? Our 1.5-year-old daughter is cheerful, sweet, and full of charm.
Both children attend daycare, which is just a 10-minute walk from our home.

Your role as an au pair:

Take the kids to and from daycare in the morning and afternoon

Spend playful and relaxed time with them in the afternoons

Help with everyday routines: meals, toilet/diaper time, and the evening routine

Who we’re looking for:
✔ A responsible, caring person who enjoys spending time with small children
✔ Someone who likes to cook – food and cooking are big parts of our family life
✔ A confident cyclist – biking is our main means of transport

What we offer:
To us, an au pair is a part of the family! We're excited to share our French and German culture with you. In return, we hope for someone who:
✅ Joins in with daily family life (e.g. tidying shared spaces, clearing the table after meals)
✅ Communicates openly, especially if something doesn’t feel right
✅ Enjoys spending quality time with us – whether during meals, games, or just everyday moments

If you’re interested in this experience, we’d love to hear from you. Just drop us a message – we’re looking forward to meeting you!

See you soon & à bientôt!
