Our daughter will start pre-school in September 2025, attending from 8:30-12:30, four days a week. Her pre-school is just a 5-minute walk from our house. We need someone to pick her up, make her lunch, put her down for a nap, and then engage her in fun and educational activities in the afternoons. This will be 20 hours a week (4 days x 5 hours).

You'll have one full day off during the week when she doesn't go to daycare and her mum is home. You'll also have one day off on the weekend. We need some flexibility for an additional 10 hours a week, which we'll agree on in advance, at least a week before. This could be for things like working late, church commitments, gym nights, or a date day on the weekend. We promise you will never exceed 30 hours total per week.

We currently have a cleaner who comes every two weeks. Housework is not a requirement, but tidying up after yourself and when you're responsible for Ada will be (e.g., cleaning dishes after lunch, doing your own laundry, etc.).

We ask that anyone joining us attends a first aid course and is a confident cyclist. The Netherlands is practically run by cyclists, and it's the main mode of transport here. You'll need to cycle with our daughter on the bike, but you can practice with your new bike before riding with her. A driving license is not necessary, but it's great if you have one (although we won't rely on you for this, as it's only valid for the first 185 days you're in the Netherlands).
