Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hallo there!

We are a family of four. I am from Italy, and my husband is from Argentina. We have two boys, aged two and five. We have lived in Greece for a couple of years, after many years travelling and living in different countries, and we work from home as journalists.

We live in the southern coast of Attica, near Lagonisi. We can walk to the beach from our house (it is only 5 minutes downhill), and the Acropolis in Athens is a 40-minute drive. There is a bus stop 5 minutes from the house with buses that take you to the underground stop in Elliniko, from which you can reach anywhere in Athens. You can walk to shops and to cafes from where we are, and you can also go for hikes up the hill. The towns of Varkiza and Lagonisi are a 5-minute drive away, and you can find anything there.

At home we speak Spanish, Italian and English. I also speak German, French and Portuguese, and am learning Greek.

We live in a house with a garden and are looking for an Au Pair who can appreciate living by the sea and is interested in joining a multilingual household, where we give a lot of importance to eating good food and having fun and playing.

Job Description

We would love the Au Pair to help us out in the afternoon during the week after our kids come back from daycare/kindergarten, and during the weekend for a few hours. The Au Pair would have at least one day off a week. Ideally the Au Pair would be interested in cooking too and generally giving a hand at home (unloading dishwasher and helping getting the toddler to tidy up after playing). We have a cleaning lady who comes to the house once a week, but we value tidiness and cleanliness and would love the person to join our household to share the same vibes. :-)
