Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Originally translated from Español
Hello! We are a family from Canada and the United States living by the beach in La Herradura, Spain. We have four children and are looking for a Spanish au pair to be part of our family.

Your main role will be to speak Spanish with our children and help Siboney manage the day-to-day at home. You are not expected to do any housework; we just need an extra hand to keep the kids busy, especially during mealtimes or when Siboney is busy.

We are a welcoming family who value kindness, fun, and adventure, and we would love for you to join us!

Job Description

As our au pair, you'll be a key part of our family, and we want your experience to be positive and rewarding. We expect the following:

Speaking Spanish with the kids: We want you to interact exclusively in Spanish with them to help them improve their language skills.

Support with routines: Your help will be especially valuable during bedtime, assisting Siboney with the kids, picking up after dinner, and helping them get to bed.

Keeping your space tidy: We ask that you keep your personal area reasonably clean. This helps keep our home organized and comfortable for everyone.

Flexibility with overtime: Occasionally, we might need your help outside of regular hours, but this would always be paid.

You'll start your week on Monday afternoon helping with dinner and entertaining the kids while David gets ready to leave. Tuesday and Wednesday you'll be with the kids in the morning and afternoon. Thursday we'll only need you in the morning and at lunchtime. You'll be completely free on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Mornings include helping the kids get dressed, assisting with breakfast, and cleaning up afterward. You'll then spend time playing with them, either at home, at the beach, or in the park. Afternoons focus on dinner, keeping the kids busy, and cleaning up. After dinner, you'll guide the kids through their bedtime routine.

Your role is all about making our home a fun and organized place.

Accommodation

Originally translated from Español
Our four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is designed with comfort, relaxation, and family in mind, and we want you to feel completely at home here. We have recently renovated it, so everything is fresh and new.

The house is spread over two floors. You will have your own bedroom on the main floor, set apart from the rest of the house, giving you more privacy. Next to your bedroom is your almost exclusive bathroom. (It's primarily yours, though the kids use it occasionally to rinse off after the beach, and our washing machine is there, too.)

The main floor of the house, where your bedroom is located, also includes the kids' play area and their study area. Although the kids use the area during the day, in the evening it becomes a quiet space. Your bedroom faces the house's interior courtyard.

We live on the top floor, where our family rooms and main living areas are located. We've designed our home to be a comfortable, family-friendly space.
