Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello and good day,

I am very happy and hopeful about the response shown to helping my family. At the moment I am in a couple in-depth conversations. Please have understand if my response is slower at the moment.

I would like to welcome you to become an Au Pair with my family.

For me it is also ok if the person is older then allowed as Au Pair.

My family may be more interesting for someone who likes to go for walks and hiking etc.

I am the father. My wife and I and had our six children together.

My oldest is 14 and my twins will be 5 in Dec. and my son will be 1 year old also in Dec.

As is often happens in Germany, my wife is wanted a divorce. And she will have it finalized this winter.

I consider myself someone who trusts very much in God.

At the moment it is important for me to find assistance in helping to raise my (our) children.

Earlier I was a professional Basketball player for many years and now I work in the IT Sector.

My ex-wife and I have six children. Three children are in school, two in kindergarden and the youngest already entered daycare this November. Having a big family is normal in my wife's culture, but not in Germany. Even finding a babysitter is quite difficult. Most younger people are not interested in such things.

Having an Au Pair seams more interesting for me, because this type of person could be more outgoing, determined and responsible. They are interested in being part of a different family and different cultures.

My ex-wife wanted the divorce. We are still living in our large house, but I am planning to buy her out. So there will still be a lot of space for an Au Pair.

Because of the divorce, there will probably also be times when our children will visit their mother and even go with her on vacation.

This could lead to extra free time for traveling or doing other things. There is a small train station within a 5 minute walk from my house.

I may be considered old school, for this reason I expect my children to remember to be respectful and such. Things that are often forgotten now a days.

My children and I are thankful to the last person who helped us and we are looking forward to having another opportunity to have some assistance.

We live on the Romantic Road and have very good connections to Würzburg, Stuttgart and the local towns.

I live in a House with 360 m² and a 2000m² Garten. Here there is enough space for you to have time to yourself.

My wife and I are interested in having another Au Pair.

We will split the costs etc.

For me it is quite simple, I would like help with my children.

There may be some women who would like chatting about kids’ stuff with the mother.

There is a type of system at our house.

It comes mostly from my ex. wife. Most things will probably stay the same.

For me it is important to be respectful. This includes my and our belief in God.

Surely if things were easier or better my wife would not want a divorce.

There is a reason why most women in German only have 1.5 Kids. It is not easy to have a big family etc.

One thing I like about the Au Pair System is, that you are like a part of our family.

I think it makes a different feeling of togetherness as someone who is paid to clean or cook etc.

There is surely space for us to chat about how we fit well with your addition to our family.

So, I am trying to be honest, I hope you can sense it.

The thing with the pictures is also because I don't really want all my family fotos to be in the internet forever.

You can meet them in a video call etc.

Job Description

I think the job depends on what you as an Au Pair feel comfortable doing. I think that I have changed more diapers then most men on earth.

For me there are other things that are more important.
- One of the most important is honesty and trust.
- Other then this it is important that I could go to work. It was not possible to get extended day care for my children. For this reason I am would like an Au Pair to me what my children between the time my children are done with Kindergarten and when I come home from work.

It would also be nice to have extra help with my kids so I could go to church or to sport / fitness.

I also think that it would be good for my kids to have a neutral person around to chat with and play Uno or other games.

I think that these small things have a big impression on children. It also shows that people are there for them. The last person who was here worked out great. I am looking forward to another good person being apart of our busy lives.

In Germany there is a set amount of 360 euros that an Au Pair can earn. There are also other responcabilities.
These things may be important for getting an Au Pair visa.
Other things and situations can be spoken about after we get to know each other.
Different people have different goals. For example, maybe someone wants to study in Germany after being an Au Pair. Maybe I could help somehow.
