Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello everyone!
We are Barbara and Patrizio and together with our family we are looking for someone to help us with childcare and housekeeping. We have two children and a third on the way. Arturo is 4 years old, Camillo 1 year old and the little one is due in March 2025.
We live in a beautiful house close to the forest in the enchanting Ledro Valley in northern Italy. This valley has a bathing lake that becomes a destination for many tourists in summer, while in winter it offers bucolic snowy landscapes. We are a small community of 5,000 people, so life flows slowly, relationships are real and we all more or less know each other.
This place offers the opportunity to be totally immersed in nature, you can enjoy summer sports, mountain hiking, climbing, biking, running, and lots of time outdoors.
Our family also includes our 7 hens, the dog Elly and the cat Tina. I am a teacher and I am a great believer in the Montessori method (Arturo attends the Casa dei Bambini which I personally helped to open) so I want someone who respects childhood as much as I do.

Job Description

What we expect from the person we choose is complicity with the children, willingness to propose interesting and stimulating activities and great attention. I will also need help with household chores such as cleaning the house and keeping it tidy. I love cooking so I am willing to teach and at the same time, learn other ways of cooking. I am looking for a native English speaker so that I can always speak in the language and teach both the children and us.
