We are a family of 6 people (parents and 4 children). We have had several experiences hosting au pairs and it was an extraordinary experience that we would like to continue with you. We live in the south of France in a rather quiet town in the Avignon conurbation of 8,000 inhabitants with all the amenities (supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, schools, college and high school nearby). Our town is located 5km from Avignon, an average town of just under 100,000 inhabitants, which offers the possibility of university studies. Buses serve our town and Avignon perfectly. Several associations offer free French courses every week in Avignon. The university also provides courses with several options (different time slots possible, certification or not).
We live in a detached house with land and a swimming pool. We have 3 cats who live mainly outside.
We have bicycles if needed. It is very hot in summer (36-40 degrees) and winter is quite mild but often with very strong wind.
We have redone a new and well-insulated room especially for you. We are caring people and concerned about the well-being of everyone. We have a lot of respect for everyone and we educate our children by explaining things without shouting. However, our last 2 experiences have upset the children who have become very attached to the au pair girls. This is why we are looking for a person who can stay for at least a year in order to make these separations less regular. We enjoy showing people around our beautiful region and our au pair girl is always welcome if she wishes for any outing, games, activities.

We are looking for someone who is fluent in English to be able to communicate in English a little every day with our children and help them improve their English and for the youngest to introduce them. You can possibly help them with their English homework if necessary. We are looking for a dynamic person who likes to play with children and who would spend time in the evening with the 2 girls while we take care of homework and meals. We would like to eat together because it is a time of important exchanges. We can ask you to pick up or take the girls to school in the morning and evening (it is 800 meters away). You can also bathe the girls and help with household chores (each has their own and we try to be fair according to everyone's tastes). So you will have your own (probably watch over the tidying up because the girls are quite messy) and help sort and put away the laundry. You may be asked for homework depending on your skills. You will have a schedule of what is expected for the week with the timetables. Outside of that you will be free. We have already had an experience of hosting 2 au pairs, it went very well each time. We have also kept very strong ties. We would like to repeat this experience because it has particularly enriched us on a human level, they have really relieved our daily lives and we loved the moments of sharing, the discussions with them.
