Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear prospective au pair,

We are a a family of five with three little and energetic children who have been raised in both German and English. We value family time, love outdoor activities and enjoy meeting people from allover the world. From next summer, we need an additional person to look after our kids. As teachers of English, we want our children to be in touch with the language and cultures of the anglophone world. Don't hesitate to contact us if you love taking care of small children and are interested in spending some months in northern Bavaria. We would organise German classes at the University of Bamberg for you (under the condition the you have passed your A-levels). We are looking forward to your message!

Job Description

As I am going back to part-time work in September, we need some support in the morning taking the kids to school and kindergarden. In addition, we would need the au pair to look after the children for a few hours in the afternoon. We do not expect the au pair to do homework with the children or to bring them to bed. The au pair would not have to work during the weekends. We would be happy if our au pair could do some light work around the house. Primarily though, we are interested in hosting a native speaker of English to speak English with our children. The children understand English but don't speak it actively yet.
