Work abroad in Kristin's family for 11-11 Months starting from Aug 2024 as an Au Pair to take care of 3 children of 1 - 5 years old & 6 - 10 years old in Lidingö, Sweden

Hi,
We live on beautiful Lidingö, an island just outside of Stockholm City. There are buses and metros that will take you straight to the city center in 30-40min. The house and the small community are surrounded by a national park/forest, a dog park and water. It is 100m to the beach with a lovely strand promenade for several kilometers.

We are looking for someone to start Aug 2024 and stay until Jun 2025. The boys will by then be 2, 4, 6 year old: Walter, Knut and Tor. Walter is on the calmer side and loves to play with his toys undisturbed, while Knut is more on the energetic side. Tor is happy just watching his brother play <3 Both Walter and Knut love to be outside and play in our garden or in the forest. They will attend kindergarten Mon-Fri between 8:00-15:30.

We are an easy going family, who love to host guests, eat tasty and nutritious food as well as travel. I have lived in Spain, Mexico and Brazil during my studies but we also love traveling to South Africa, Vietnam and the States where my brother lives. Both me and Johan take our fair share of household and caring responsibilities as we are both parents and partners in life. Johan studied biotechnology and has a start-up producing green gas/petrol, and I studied business and have mainly worked in the finance industry.

We do not eat meat or chicken, but love all kinds of fish, seafood and vegetarian food. We try to limit sugar for the kids to celebratory occasions and only use the tv when we really need to, i.e. when both kids are tired and hungry and there is only one parent there who has to make dinner.

We aim to be the best parents we can be and thus hope to find someone who is happy to help out both with kids and the household. Ideally you are positive, knows how to speak to and loves to play with kids their age, knows how to cook tasty food, but also values open communication, is proactive and independent, takes own initiatives, sees what needs to be done and quickly solves situations as they arise. As mentioned there will be both child caring and housework but we do have a cleaning lady once a week who does a full clean.

The two main responsibilities will thus be 1) running the household (food, tidiness, laundry, vacuum) and 2) teaching the kids Spanish through play. We have had a Spanish speaking Aupair the last 2 years so they know a lot even though they might not speak too much yet.
