Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
Job Description
The main role of the au pair is to help get the children up in the morning to school, and collected from school to bring them home. Both parents work from 8:30am to 5:30pm or slightly longer. Some evenings there will be a need to cook a simple dinner for the children.
Some light housework duties will also be expected. For example: clothes washing, tidying children’s toys away, sometimes a clean of the children’s bedroom and their living room toys area.
In return we offer:
- Every Saturday and Sunday off of au pair duties
- Time to attend a language course or similar
- 1 full week off of work per month, with the freedom to travel away and sight see the country. Or to stay at home, the option is yours
- full food, room and board included
- The opportunity to join us as a family for weekend sightseeing and days out, at our cost.

Accommodation
(Au pair’s accommodation): A fully furnished double room of their own in the house (photo is listed in the advert). With separate shower/bathroom primarily for the au pair’s use.
Our house is in the centre of a small town. There are 3 pubs in the town, a fine dining restaurant and a breakfast cafe. A petrol station and post office, a small town museum and mini supermarket corner shop. And 3 small niche shops.
A train station in our small town provides direct transport to the nearest larger towns. Where a cinema, shops for clothes, gifts and sightseeing can be found. Also supermarkets (there is only the petrol station in our town for food shopping at the moment)
