Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We are a French/ British Indian family looking for a new junior nanny/au pair to join our family from mid December. Our son is 2years old (born on xmas day :)) and we would ideally love to have a french speaking person to help our son learn the language better.
We live in Clapham South (almost Central London) and are very close to lots of green space/transportation and many fun activities for both kids and adults. Given we're so centrally based , you will have the option of many language schools if you're trying to improve your English.
Our lovely au pair Carla has been with us for one year but is going back to her family and studies in December. She is available to be contacted if you want to discuss about the role or have any other questions about her experiences with us.
For a bit more about the job: our son is 2 years old and goes to nursery every morning from 8-12. The French nursery is a 20 min walk from our house. Your typical day will be from around 6/7am to 6:30pm (depending on what time he wakes up in the morning!) but he is in nursery for 4 hours of the day and he will take an afternoon nap for 1-2hours after nursery. This should allow you plenty of time to study/learn English if you'd like.
He is a very funny kid, loves to laugh, ride his scooter , eat (!) and play outside. He also sleeps very well.

In terms of our requirements, we want someone with experience with kids, fun-loving, calm, mature, caring and patient, flexible and French speaking. We do require your English to be conversational as my husband speaks French but I am English speaking and will need to communicate with you. With our son, we prefer you only speak French with him.
We are looking for someone who is open to staying longer term. Minimum 1 year but if we are all happy we would love to keep you for a few years! Because of current covid problems and also Brexit, we are hoping to find someone who is already in England currently and looking for a new role.

In our house , you will have a spacious and well lit bedroom and your own bathroom to be shared only with our son. You will have the chance to meet with many other nannies and au pairs in our area. We are surrounded by many parks. Our nearest tube station is Clapham South (10 min walk). The working week will be Monday to Friday and we may occasionally ask for some babysitting in evenings or weekends (will be of course arranged in advance, at your convenience) Pay is competitive at circa £1000 per month because we realise it's not a typical au pair role.

Please contact us if you're interested and keen to discuss.
