Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi there, we're a Greek - Slovenian family or 4, with two active and happy boys, and very excited about welcoming our first au pair into our family. We have had a nanny for six years, and now that the boys are comfortably in school, we'd love to welcome an au pair into our family.

We live in a beautiful and leafy area of London called Hampstead. We're close to the Hampstead Heath and Golders Green park. We also have a large garden, so plenty of outdoors space to enjoy.

The transport links are amazing, close to the Northern and Jubilee lines that can take you to central London within minutes.

We're equal distance to the famous Hamsptead Village and the vibrant West Hampstead High Street area.

We have lived in this area for over sever years and absolutely love it.

We have a large flat in one of the traditional Hampstead houses that has ben converted into two flats. Ours is over two floor levels, and it's huge. The Au Pair will have her own room (overseeing a mature and very sizable garden) and bathroom, with a private corridor and storage area. The room is beautiful and spacious, with a large bed, a little office corner and a TV. The room is at the same level as a large reception room that we use a play area, which the au pair could use for themselves when the boys are not playing there.

The upper floor is where the family bedrooms are as well as the main living room, kitchen and dining room.

Job Description

We'd love for you to become part of our family just like our nanny of six years has. Your primary responsibility will be the boys, and helping us keep the house in order.

You will be getting the boys ready for school, and taking them to school when mum or dad will not be able to. You will also be collecting them from school and taking them to various afterschool activities or organising fun time for them at home or around home.

We'd love for you to help with cooking, for the entire family, during the weekdays. We're relaxed about what we eat, and we have a list of recipes to follow.

You will help us keep the house tidy. We have a cleaner, so this will be mostly focused on boys' rooms, and the common areas.

Occasionally we'll ask you to babysit in the evenings and weekends.

On average, it will be about 20-30 hours of work a week.
