Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in this home share with elderly position as a Personal Assistant. I am looking for someone who is kind, patient, and reliable. Your primary responsibility will be to assist me as I attempt to recover some of my mobility and independence after a major accident. I was paralyzed from the neck down for many years, but by the grace of God, I have regained some use of my upper body. Now, I am working to lessen the disability in my lower limbs, although I still require some assistance and encouragement. Additionally, I hope you can prepare light meals, help with housekeeping, assist with shopping, and accompany me to church. Eventually, I would like you to attend meetings with me, assist me in getting to the gym, and help me reintegrate into society and recover my skills.

I provide a salary with a minimum of 21 hours per week and a private room in Stratford, London (Zone 2/3), along with opportunities for cultural exchange. I prioritize a positive and supportive living environment.

Job Description

The care and support role required for me in UK London Stratford offers an hourly rate of £11.95 as a Personal Assistant, an employee. A different rate may apply for a carer working on a self-employed basis or through an agency. The minimum weekly schedule is as follows:

Morning call: 45 minutes (daily)
Lunch call: 30 minutes (daily)
Evening call: 45 minutes (daily)
Domestic tasks: 1 hour per week (flexible)
Community access: 6 hours per week (flexible)
This totals 21 working hours per week.

Generally, community access will be reserved for assistance with shopping and ensuring I can attend the Traditional Latin Mass and Church's meetings as needed. Should additional hours be required beyond the guaranteed 21 hours as a Personal Assistant, the value of the accommodation may be considered as extra hours first, unless alternative arrangements are possible due to reviews in my care package.
