Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family of 4 living in the mountains outside of Silicon Valley, California. Our boys are 15 months and 33 months old. We live in a place that's rural meaning that you can't walk to a store, but one of the best towns in America is 15 minutes driving (Los Gatos) and Silicon Valley is another 20 minutes away. If you drive in the opposite direction, the Pacific Ocean is about 30 minutes away. It is too cold to swim but great for beach days, whale, sea lion and dolphin watching.

We hope to find an au pair who would join our family and go on adventures with us. Before kids, we used to travel a lot. We are still trying to figure out life with two young boys, but we hope to pick up travel soon. We hope to share these experiences with the au pair.

Job Description

We are looking for someone to start in January. Until April, we are looking for help Monday - Friday, and then when our youngest starts daycare, we are looking for help Friday to Monday as both kids will be in full time daycare Tuesday to Thursday.

Another important note for us is we would love a Russian speaker who would speak to the kids in Russian. I (mom) was born in Siberia and almost all of my family is still there, I would love for the boys to speak / understand when we can come visit.

The au pair would have her own little cottage, which we recently renovated. The cottage is about 100 meters away from the main house, so it has a lot of privacy. The cottage has a mini-kitchen and a full bathroom.
