Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au-Pair,

I hope this message finds you well!

I would like to tell you a little about us.
We are 3 people and live in a normal, small 3-room apartment with a garden in Ludwigsburg, very central. Stuttgart is 15 minutes away by train. We don't have a car because we don't need it. Everything here can be easily reached on foot or by bus.

Here, you would have your own room (Bedroom/Home office room) with a bed, shelf and desk. My wardrobe is also in the room. You would have your own shower.

What's good to know for you is that my friend lives in the same apartment building, she is fluent in English, Arabic and German. If you needed any help, she would be a minute away from you while I am at work!

As an au pair, you would support me on in the morning by bringing the children (4 & 2 years old) to kindergarten (7:00 a.m.) and picking them up (2:00 p.m.). You would be free from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Before you pick up the children, pack water and snacks, and you can spend the afternoon with the children on the playground. If you spent the afternoon at home, you would play and learn with the children. You're welcome to teach them your Language!

Sometimes the children have afternoon classes where you drop them off and pick them up. If a child gets sick or the kindergarten is closed, you would spend the day with the children.

The children eat dinner at around 5:30 p.m. Cooking dinner should be fine for you. The Kids are good at eating international dishes, so if you like to cook some of your traditional dishes, we are happy to try them =)

Otherwise, smaller household tasks such as cleaning the kitchen/table after cooking/eating, vacuuming, folding/putting away children's clothes, and tidying up toys would be part of your tasks. We have a dishwasher!

I work until 5:00/6:00 p.m. Saturdays have no speacial timeplan, we just do what we want if I don't have to work. You would have most evenings free. On Sundays/Mondays, you would have 1 1/2 days completely free.

We like to go out on the weekends, if you would like to join us on your days off, you are very welcome!

Some hard facts are:
-You get €280 per month.
-1 1/2 days completely free per week.
-I would take over the insurance for you, as well as your monthly train/bus ticket. This Ticket is also valid for most Trains, so if you want to visit other Citys in Germany you can do this easily.
-Of course, the accommodation and food are completely free for you!
-You would have to choose a language course yourself, for which I will give you once €70.

-Please note that you have to take care of the visa and the flight ticket yourself.
-I would contribute 50 percent of the flight ticket once you arrived!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Tell me what is important to you and what you would like to do during your stay!

If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you =)

Many kind regards
Jorgina
