Work abroad in Katherine's family for 10-12 Months starting from Sep 2024 as an Au Pair and Nanny to take care of 3 children of 0 - 1 year old & 1 - 5 years old in Lyme, Connecticut USA

Hello to our future au pair! We are an American-Argentine family located in New England. We live in a quaint area with a rural feel, but we are strategically located between several bustling areas including but not limited to Chester/Essex CT, New Haven, Madison, and Mystic. Many small towns to choose from, all while living in a picturesque rural settings close to both water and farms. We have three children under four, we sail, and we practice hands-on, mindful parenting and are very engaged with our children—we expect that of you, also! If you love children, babies, nature, and holistic living, we are the place for you. We speak English and Spanish in the home, spend time on the water like I said, love to cook good food made from local ingredients, and live a minimalist lifestyle when it comes to consumerism and technology. We love to garden and hope to do beekeeping this coming year. There is much to do in the area, and I am looking for someone who can drive a car!!! My eldest is starting to enter the age for adventures, so I would want our au pair to be comfortable either taking her out into the world for an excursion or educational activity, or staying home with the babies while I have one-on-one time with my child. My husband speaks better French than me, but we lived in Paris for a fleeting 5 months and it was a special, romantic time for us, so we have it in our heads that perhaps having a French speaker in the home would be nice to try to keep that alive. We live with one black cat. DIY vibes. I am a writer so learning English from me would probably be nice on top of your language classes, and with Yale and Wesleyan right here I am sure you will find something. NYC but a train ride away.
