Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Welcome to our family and home in Munich! We are Fakhir, 34, a software engineer from Pakistan, and Magdalena, 37, an agricultural engineer from Munich. We live in Schwabing, a lively neighborhood just 10 minutes by public transport from the city center. Parks like the English Garden and Luitpold Park are nearby, and the closest language school is a 10-minute walk away.

In addition to the 280 euros monthly pocket money, we will provide the Deutschland-Ticket (worth 50-60 euros), which allows you to use the local public transport system all over Germany. We will also cover the fees for attending language courses (e.g., evening classes) up to a total of 840 euros for the duration of your stay. Additionally, we will take care of insurances, including health insurance.

Job Description

We are looking for someone to take care of our son, who will be about 1 year old, during weekdays from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:00. It is important to us to avoid screentime for our child, so we expect you to engage with him by playing, reading aloud, and spending quality time together. As a multilingual family (German, English, Urdu), we appreciate if you speak your mother tongue with him.

We mostly work from home, so we will usually be nearby if you need anything. It would be nice if you could also help with small household tasks, such as taking care of your room, helping in the kitchen, and assisting with meal preparation.
