Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello, my name is Lydia and my husband's name is Ben. We have been married for 18 years and have three beautiful children and a little Russian Blue cat.

We live in Manilva, Malaga in a four bedroom house, a community pool and sea views. We are a 20 minute walk to the beach or a 4 minute drive.

We are looking for a female, live-in Au-pair to help look after our children when we are at work.

We live less than 10 minutes drive from the local town and between 10-20 minutes from a variety of different language schools. Preferably, we would like a Spanish Au-pair with a good level of English. This could provide us both the opportunity for a language exchange.

Job Description

The Au-pair must have a valid driving license, as you will need to use our car for the school run.

My husband and I will leave the house early in the morning and so the children might need help to get ready for school in the mornings.
The children then need to be taken to the bus stop, where they will get the school bus to school.
The children will then return to the bus stop between 14:10-14:30, where they will need collecting in the car.

Once home, they will need lunch and maybe some minimal guidance with homework (Our 12 year old is mostly independent), until we get home from work at around 18:30 / 19:00.

Once we are home, other than occasional babysitting - we will take over, and the au-pair will have her own time. Weekends will most often be free for the Au-pair.

It would be helpful if the Au-pair could do some light housework, sweeping, tidying, preparing lunches for the children and maybe some minimal laundry.

Accommodation

The au-pair's bedroom is a double room, with air con and Wi-fi available. The au-pair will have their own bathroom, which is right next door to their bedroom.

The aupair will have the use of a car during the week and will access to using the car many weekends also, we will just need to make sure this is arranged beforehand.
