Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi! We are a family of 3. Mom (35) dad (36) and our boy (13 months). Both parents are Dutch and so it is a second language spoken in the home (mom speaks English to Pim and dad speaks Dutch to Pim). Mom is a Police officer and works 12 hour shift work both days and nights and dad is a Real Estate agent who works from home and away. We are looking for an Au Pair who has experience with young children and loves young children and is able to be creative enough to entertain a 13 month old :). We live in a nice home in the country surrounded by lots of trees and nature. It is truly a quiet piece of heaven. We do require an Au Pair who has their drivers licence and would be comfortable driving as stores are only accessible via car. The cute town of Markdale is a 10 min drive away. This has a large grocery store, cafe's restaurants, library, playground and is where Mom works. Also 10 min away by car is Flesherton which has a bakery/cafe, restaurant, library and hockey arena (free ice skating in winter). The town of Collingwood (45 min drive) which we visit often is where the hustle and bustle is. Large ski resort, lots of restaurants, cafe's ands stores.
Lastly, if you are a horse lover, there is a horse farm nearby and could possibly spend free time there as well.

Job Description

Approximately 30hrs a week which would include making lunch for child and possibly the occasional dinner. Will be off when mother is off which at times can be 4 days in a row. This time is your time to do whatever (if you study this would be perfect). You may have access to the car otherwise we most definitely will bring you anywhere you would like OR you can join us of course :).
Having a driver's licence is a must and decent experience would be an asset.
Of course we would love it if you also expose our son to your culture/language.

Accommodation

Private bedroom. Bathroom that is yours unless guests are visiting then they would use that as well.
We are working on finishing our walk out basement which then the Au pair would have their private bedroom with private bathroom. And we are making a room for a gym (treadmill, row machine, weights).
