Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are looking for a caregiver for our 95 year old mother, who lives near Freiburg. She is still relatively fit for her age.

However, she has an age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and is almost blind. In addition, she is hard of hearing. We children therefore believe that they need to be monitored a bit more.

Our mother speaks German as well as English and French. she is interested in
Culture, art, music, religion. In the summer she likes swimming. She is very open-minded towards younger people.

My sister still lives in the house; but she is often on the road.
There is also a 1 year old Golden Retriever bitch whose specialty is to steal food from the table.

We do not care if the person is male or female, or what age she has. She should be optimistic, have some experience with her own grandparents and have nerves like steel cables. Because to take care of an old lady can be more exhausting than on small children. Both have their stubborn head ...

We are looking for a senior caretaker for our 95 year old mother, who lives near Freiburg. Considering her age she is relatively fit.

Unfortunately she has a macular degeneration in both eyes and is nearly blind. In addition to that she can‘t hear very well. My sister and I are therfore keen to find someone who is willing to survey her a bit more closely.
Our mother speaks German, English and French. She is interested in culture, art, music and religious themes. In the summer she still goes swimming every day. She likes young people to be around.

My sister lives in the house as well – she is frequently away for her job though. There is a young golden Retreiver, who still neads more education.

We do not mind, whether the person interested in this job is male or female. She should be an optimistic person, know perhaps a bit about the older generation through own grandparents and have nerves like steel cables. Lokking after a 95 year old is sometimes more demanding than looking after little ones. They can be equally stubborn.
