Hello and good day to our future au pair,
We are a married couple with three children from Meinersen. My husband and I are in our 40s. I am Chinese, and the rest of the family is German. German is spoken exclusively at home.

Our children are very sweet and kind, so you don't have to worry about not being able to get along with them. My nine-year-old daughter is already in the third grade of elementary school and is already very independent. She usually keeps herself busy by meeting up with friends, listening to audiobooks, or playing on her tablet. My six-year-old son is still in kindergarten and is usually out until 2 p.m. during the week. My youngest daughter will be three years old in November of this year. I'm currently staying home for three years because of maternity leave. Therefore, you won't be there alone for my children :-)

We mostly cook German and Chinese food at home. We're also open to other dishes, such as food from your home country.

If you would like to attend a German course, you will have classes four days a week at the Gifhorn District Adult Education Center, which take place in the mornings. We will, of course, cover your travel expenses.

We will see you as a member of the family, and we want you to feel comfortable with us. If you are looking for a nice and loving family and are also a very warm-hearted person yourself, then you have come to the right place. We are very much looking forward to spending time with you :-)

PS: If you would like to do a year of voluntary social year after your au pair year with us, I could probably help, as a friend of my girlfriend offers voluntary social year placements.
