Work abroad in Oana's family for 1-12 Months starting from Jan 2025 as an Au Pair to take care of 1 children of 11 - 14 years old in Milan, Lombardy Italy

Dear Future Au Pair,

We are an Italian family living in the heart of Milan, and we are thrilled at the idea of welcoming you into our home and our lives! We’re writing to tell you a bit about ourselves and to share our expectations for this exciting adventure together.

We are a family of three: I, the mom, am an interior decorator specializing in children’s and teenagers’ rooms. I alternate between working remotely and going out for appointments or projects. The dad often works away from home during the week. Our son, Eduardo, is 13 years old, attends middle school, and has a great passion for music. He studies piano and goes to the Milan Conservatory two or three times a week. Eduardo speaks a bit of English but would love to improve it by speaking with you. He’s a kind, curious, and talkative boy, always open to new experiences.

Our family has a deep love for art and music. In our free time, we often visit exhibitions and attend concerts, and our home is full of books of all kinds. We also enjoy cooking healthy and delicious meals together, discovering new recipes and flavors.

We can’t forget our beloved dog, Hector, a 5-year-old golden retriever. He is incredibly sweet and loves company. Hector goes for walks twice a day and appreciates every cuddle or moment of playtime.
Accommodation

You will have a private and comfortable room to ensure your privacy. The bathroom will be shared only with Eduardo. Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, well-connected to public transportation, and close to all the essentials.
Our Expectations

We hope to find a responsible, empathetic, and patient person who can support us in managing Eduardo’s day. Although he is very independent and responsible, we would appreciate your help with his afternoon studies and possibly accompanying him to the Conservatory if needed. We would also love for you to help him improve his English through daily conversation. Additionally, we’d ask for a hand with light household chores, a walk with Hector, or running small errands.

In return, we will do our best to make you feel at home. We are an open and welcoming family who loves sharing our culture and discovering the traditions of those around us. We’ll involve you in our daily lives and hope you can enrich our family as much as we hope to enrich yours.
