Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello future au pair!

Our wonderful Japanese au pair will be returning to Tokyo in early April to continue her studies, so we are looking for a new au pair to join our family! We are sad to see her go after 7 months living with us, as she has truly become a part of our family.

We are excited to welcome you to the best city in Australia and into our supportive, warm, easy-going, and happy family. We live in a beautiful home right by the beach, in sunny Cottesloe (just 15 minutes from the city).

We are an active, healthy, and down-to-earth family (mum, dad, and 3 energetic children).

We are looking for an au pair who is:

Mature and responsible
Enjoys engaging with children and helping around the home
Smart and safety-conscious
The hours are flexible, and the work will not be demanding. The main responsibility will be looking after the baby during the day while the older children are at school and mum and dad are at work.

Job Description

It is important to help in getting the children ready for school then help with the evening routine - playing with children, or meal preparation, bath time. I will be home in the evenings (my husband works until 6pm) - so I will be present always to assist with evening routine.
You will predominately be caring for our 1 year old during the day. Mum will work 3 days per week. Our schedule is flexible and we will ensure you have time off and time to yourself to explore the city.
You do not need to have a drivers license as I will drop and collect the children to and from school. Everything you need is within walking distance - wonderful park, beach and shops.

Everything you need you can walk to —cafes, fashion shops, the supermarket, the beach, our children's school and public transport options. A driver’s license is not required, making it easy to enjoy your surroundings without the need or stress for a car.

You will have your own:
- large bedroom with built in storage
- king size bed
- bathroom that is shared with the children
- internet, meals etc
- generous pocket money

There is space between your bedroom and the other bedrooms in the house so you can feel a like you have your own area.
