Work abroad in Alejandra's family for 4-24 Months starting from Aug 2024 as an Au Pair and Nanny to take care of 2 children of 1 - 5 years old & 6 - 10 years old in Muchamiel, Alicante Spain

We would love to give you a clear idea of ​​the responsibilities and expectations that you would have as an au pair in our family. We know that every family is different, so it's important to us that you feel comfortable with what day-to-day life in our home entails.

Your main task will be to help us with the daily routine of our two children, especially in the mornings and afternoons after school. Here are your main schedules and responsibilities:

Schedule:

Mornings (6:45 am - 8:00 am): We need your support to get the children ready before they leave for school and daycare. This includes helping them get dressed, making sure they have breakfast, and being ready to leave the house promptly at 8:00 am.

Afternoons (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm): After they return from school and daycare, you will be in charge of caring for them until dinner time. During this time, your attention will be mostly focused on our youngest son, since, due to his ASD diagnosis, it is essential that he receives adequate stimulation for his development.

Key Responsibilities:

Meals: One of the most important tasks for us is to make sure that both children eat well, as they tend to resist mealtimes. Your support in getting them to sit at the table and eat is essential.

Attention to the younger child: While the older child has activities such as German classes (once a week) and judo (twice a week), the younger child needs personal attention. It is crucial to work with him on activities that stimulate his cognitive and social development, as this is a critical period for his development.

Activities of the older child: As the older child has extracurricular activities three times a week, your time with him will be more limited in the afternoons. However, when he is at home, he will need support in the evenings.tasks and in their daily routine.

What we look for in you:

Patience and empathy: We know that our children can be a bit challenging, especially at mealtimes or during emotional meltdowns, so we highly value patience and the ability to handle these situations with empathy.
Proactivity: We would like you to take the initiative in activities that can help stimulate our youngest child, as well as in finding creative ways to involve the oldest when he is home.
