Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a friendly and happy family of four with a very energetic dog called Harry. Our children are 4years and 1 year old. We have recently moved back to Ireland from living in Australia.

We would like to find an aupair who is independent, happy to spend time with children and would like living in the beautiful countryside. Ideally someone who can start in February 2025 and stay with us for at least a year.

We live in the beautiful Kilkenny countryside. 20minute Drive to Waterford City and 25 minute drive to Kilkenny city. If you come to be our au pair we will provide you with access to a car and your own living space on our property so that you can enjoy having your time off.

Both Richard and I work full time Monday to Friday. Ideally, we would like to find an au pair willing to help us in our home Monday to Friday- 7.30am - 6.00pm. Two days a week our girls will be cared for by local childminders but will need to be picked up at 4.45pm. All other time is the au pairs own time and we will not intrude. Any additional babysitting will be arranged separately. We will always aim to be transparent and open in our conversations with you and have a respectful and honest relationship.

Job Description

Ideally we would love to find an au pair who can start their day at 7.30am to help me with the breakfast and getting the day started in a positive way for our girls.

Our 1 year old will stay with you while we go to work at 8.30am. Our 4 year old attends Playschool from 9 -12. She will be picked up from our home and will return at 12.

You would then look after both girls playing games and doing activities until we get home at 5.30pm. You are then free to spend the evening how you would like in your private living quarters.
