Work abroad in Melanie's family for 10-24 Months starting from Mar 2023 as an Au Pair to take care of 2 children of 0 - 1 year old & 1 - 5 years old in Munich, Bavaria Germany

We’re looking for an Au Pair to join our family to help raise, educate and entertain our two boys with great love and passion. Both kids attend a private nursery (Monday-Friday) for approx. 6-7 hours. We’re looking for additional childcare help for one or (partly) both boys during 4-5 days (mainly weekdays, weekend optional), primarily in the afternoon and early evening and during some mornings. There could be more help needed at irregular times if our kids are unwell or if our job situation requires specific support on certain days.

- You are an open-minded and positive Au Pair who loves engaging and inspiring kids at a young age (<4 years)
- Ideally you are a native English speaker and interested in other cultures and the German language and want to extend your personal and professional experience abroad in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe
- You already have reasonable track-record with looking after young kids - either in a private or professional environment
- You enjoy planning and executing fun and diverse activities with kids - no matter if that’s related to crafting, playing, reading, cooking, visiting playgrounds, and much more
- You are a multi-tasker and don’t get stressed if there is some action happening around you to watch and guide :-)
- You’re desperate to move to the most beautiful city in Germany to explore the culture, language and loads of great offerings abroad as well as meeting new people
- You are keen to learn or optimize your German language skills while you’re here
- For a perfect match: You are from the UK, already speak some or reasonable German and/or other languages, are 20+ years old

Regular tasks:
– Spending time (in- and outdoors) with one or (sometimes) both boys by playing games, crafting, visiting the playground, cycling, going for a walk, playing football, cooking, reading books and much more
– Getting the boys changed, dressed, preparing simple lunches and dinners, etc (as relevant)
– Planning fun activities for indoors and outdoors to offer seasonally and changing options to get our 3-year-old running, laughing, engaged and access to new, interesting topics
– Looking after our youngest by going for a walk, helping with making him fall asleep and more
– Driving 1-2 kids to nursery in the morning and/or pick up in the afternoon (only 1-2 times per week)
– Supporting with early evening routine to help with playing, preparing dinner (for the kids), getting them changed, bathing
– Encourage and support our 3-year-old to clean up his toys and support keeping basic tidiness in our house (the professional cleaning service is done by another person)

Additional tasks (as relevant):
– Putting kids to bed/evening coverage if we’re not at home (3-4 times per month max.)
– Shopping groceries, running small errands for activities that are linked to the family routine or kids directly
– Joining family activities, trips or holidays (costs will be covered by us and only if you wan)

Out of scope (not part of your role)
– Regular cleaning or key household tasks (we do have an amazing professional cleaning service twice a week)
