Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,
We are pleased that you are interested in our profile. We are a family with four children, two girls (Lelia is 10 and Josephine 8 years old) and two boys (Niklas, 4 and Jakob 0 years old). We live in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, a small town on the edge of the Palatinate Forest in the middle of idyllic wine villages. Our house is located a little outside the center on a hillside, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the city, a bus runs every hour. Since my husband and I both work, we are looking for a loving and reliable person who would like to become part of our family and especially support us in looking after our children. We look forward to hearing from you.

Job Description

It is very important to us that you are a loving, honest, reliable and tidy person. Your attitude matters more to us than experience or skills. Of course you should enjoy looking after children; some experience would be good. Order and cleanliness are very important in our household.
We need support in dealing with everyday tasks, especially in looking after our children. Your tasks include:
- In the morning the children help get ready and make breakfast
- Picking up children in the afternoon, looking after them and regular trips to afternoon activities and hobbies
- Light housework (cleaning up, dishes, preparing food)
- Smaller errands
A driving license is essential because we live quite close to the city center but on a mountainside and buses only run once an hour. A car is ready for you.
All children are in care (school, kindergarten, childminder) until early afternoon, so you have time in the morning for your own activities and to attend a language course. We will cover the costs for this, as well as a contribution to the travel costs and pocket money.

We live in a large, detached house with a large garden. You have your own room and bathroom on a separate floor and therefore space to retreat from time to time. Internet/WiFi is of course available.
