Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Originally translated from Français
Hello, future Au Pair.
To begin, it's important to let you know that we are looking for someone who speaks a little French for the children and who must have a driver's license.
Otherwise, we will not process your application as it may be complicated.
We have already had five Au Pairs with whom everything went very well, including one who stayed with us for two years because we are caring people.

We live in a small village of 3,000 inhabitants called Neuvecelle, located near Evian-Les-Bains, known worldwide for its water.
The living environment is exceptional if you love nature, as we are surrounded by mountains and have the largest lake in Europe.
There is a port to travel to Switzerland (Lausanne - Geneva) and a train station that serves Geneva and its international airport (Switzerland) every 30 minutes, all within a 10-20 minute walk from the house.
In winter, we can go skiing 15 minutes from our home in small ski resorts, but we also have large ski areas like Chatel, Morzine, Avoriaz, and many others because we are close to Switzerland.
In summer, we enjoy the lake and the large municipal swimming pool, which, for me, is simply magnificent and very well maintained.
So if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside, you'll be perfectly at home with us, but if you're looking for the world and shopping, you'll have to travel a bit or simply look for another family.
Please note that thanks to our quality environment, our house is a little corner of paradise.

Job Description

Originally translated from Français
We are a family consisting of myself, Marinus, 47, and my partner, Marie, 41, and our two children, Giulia, 11, and Luca, 7.
I'm a real estate agent, so I'm often out and about, and my wife is an intensive care doctor. She leaves very early in the morning, at 5:30 a.m., and doesn't get back until 7:30 p.m.
Giulia goes to middle school this year, and Luca goes to school, which is a 10-minute walk from our house. We love spending time together, going for walks in the mountains or by the lake, as well as biking, skiing, or going to the beach.
Meals are very important to us because they're a time when we talk and share our daily experiences.
The products we eat are high-quality, and we hope you enjoy cheese and meat because in the winter we cook a lot of raclette and fondue, and in the summer, BBQs.
We are a small, epicurean family who enjoys good food.
When we're not working, we enjoy taking care of children, spending time together, and hosting friends and family.
We would be happy to spend time with our au pair and introduce them to our family and friends.
See you soon, perhaps in your new family.

Accommodation

Originally translated from Français
The person staying with us will have a private bedroom with a double bed, shelves for their clothes, and a TV.
There are two bathrooms, but they are shared with everyone, as one has a shower and one has a bathtub.
The four bedrooms are upstairs, as well as a bathroom with a toilet. On the ground floor, we have a games room as well as a large living/dining room and open kitchen.
We have a very large garden where we can relax while admiring the view of the lake and the mountains.
We have a vegetable garden and fruit trees. The requirements for the person who will come to our home are very simple, and I want to tell you that I'm not looking for an employee, but someone who will help us in our daily lives, spend time with us, and be part of the family.

Help me get the children dressed and have breakfast as soon as they wake up, then accompany Luca to school. Giulia will take the bus alone to and from school.
At lunchtime, we will have to pick Luca up, feed him, and then take him back to school.
School ends at 4:30 p.m. every day, and the children have extracurricular activities, so we'll have to accompany them to sports.

You'll have extra weekends and maybe some weekdays off because my wife's schedule isn't as regular as mine. This doesn't mean you won't be an integral part of the family, even during your vacation; we all share.

We're not looking for a housekeeper, but an au pair who will be just as kind to our children as to us.

Our former au pairs have always been happy with us and can tell you that if you'd like.
