Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

**We are in the process of moving, we will reach out to those who are interested when we are settled**
Hi there, we are a young family with an awesome 10 month old son. We live in a cool mountain town called Nevada City. It is an hour from Lake Tahoe and an hour from Sacramento, though these places are near, we love to spend most of our time exploring this area because it is so beautiful with so much to do. People gravitate here because of its hippy kind of vibe and a gorgeous river called the Yuba River, we have lived here for three years and LOVE it. There are lots of organic farms, hiking trails, yoga studios, classes and workshops, organic restaurants. It's a very down to earth community.
My husband works 9-5:30pm Monday through Friday and I've owned my own massage therapy business for 18 years, I've been working a lot less and focusing on raising our son but plan on getting on more of a regular work schedule with some more support. Raising Juna with a love for nature, very minimal screens, healthy foods, language, art, music, dancing, outdoors, fun, wildness and in a way more like our ancestors raised children is a goal. (We love the book Hunt Gather Parent).
We would love to welcome an au pair who is outgoing and fun, like to cook/eat healthy food, loves to be outside and has a healthy mindful lifestyle.

Job Description

The idea came to us to get an au pair because with the present and involved way that we want to parent its hard to do it all with just mama around. We aren't meant to raise our kids alone and we are lovers of culture so an au pair seems like a great idea. Help is needed around the house and just getting another pair of eyes on Juna so mama can get some things done, start working a little more and just not feel so behind. Cooking meals, cleaning, playing with Juna, taking him to the river and on hikes, walking our dog Sugi would be so helpful in our household.
