Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

I am seeking a granny nanny. I am looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual who may be interested in being a companion for my husband.

We have 2 homes. Our primary residence is a large apartment (with an elevator and doorman) in a lovely residential neighborhood in Manhattan just steps from Central Park. Our apartment has good transportation options--a convenient cross town bus and 2 different subway lines. Our country home is located in upstate NY nestled in the woods yet minutes away from a full array of shopping, outdoor sports, birdwatching and swimming.

Job Description

My husband is 86 years old and is a retired attorney who spends his time reading and blogging. He has limited mobility (walks slowly with the assistance of a walker) is largely independent and does not need any direct care. I am looking for someone to assist with his meals, do minor household tasks and feed our 2 kitties and keep in touch with me while away. My husband needs some attention in the morning--helping with breakfast and fixing lunch and then again in early evening. Because his mobility is limited, I like to have someone in the house when he showers should he fall. The responsibilties would would not interfere with outside work and/or school obligations.
I intermittently travel and during these times. I would likely have family helping out. One planned travel time is May 25-June 6.
