Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a small, close-knit family preparing to move to the suburbs of Colorado Springs. We’re looking for an au pair who has teaching experience and a passion for working with young children. Our toddler and baby are at such a fun stage of growth, and we’d love to find someone who can help nurture their development through learning activities and play. While we’re not very outgoing, we value kindness, patience, and the opportunity to build a positive, supportive relationship with the person who joins our family.

Job Description

-Care for our 3-year-old boy, including feeding, playing, and engaging in educational activities.
-Provide attention and care for our infant girl, including feeding, diapering, and helping with her early developmental milestones.
-Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities that promote both physical and cognitive development, such as reading, puzzles, art, and outdoor play.
-Light housekeeping duties related to the children, such as tidying up after playtime, cleaning bottles, and doing their laundry.
-Help with nap times and bedtime routines.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

-Experience working with young children, especially toddlers and infants.
-A background in early childhood education or teaching is preferred.
-Strong communication skills, both with children and adults.
-Ability to create a structured but fun environment to help our kids learn and grow.
-Patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt to the needs of both a toddler and an infant.
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

We’re looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and kind, with a genuine love for children. While we are a more introverted family, we are excited to welcome someone into our home who will enrich our children’s lives and be a valuable part of their development.
