Dear Au Pair,

Our small family consists of four members. Our youngest is Amelia (2 years old), our son Ilay (4.5 years old), and the parents Saimir (34) and Aylin (39). We are a very multicultural family: Italian, Turkish, and Albanian, but born and raised in Switzerland. Aylin speaks Swiss German with the children, and Saimir speaks Albanian. The grandparents speak Albanian, Italian, and Turkish. Both of us (Saimir/Aylin) are also fluent in English. We would like you to speak Italian or Turkish with our children so they can learn it better. As parents, you can decide whether you want to speak German or English (depending on what you want to learn).

We are a truly happy and open-minded family who enjoy meeting new people and doing lots of outdoor activities. We have a travel agency and also enjoy traveling a lot.

We live in a beautiful house in the village of Niederbipp (population 5,500) in the canton of Bern, which is very centrally located in Switzerland. By train, you can reach all major cities such as Zurich, Bern, Basel, or Lucerne in less than an hour. Smaller, but also beautiful cities with lovely old towns are Solothurn (10 minutes) and Olten (25 minutes). The train station is just a 3-minute walk from our house. Large markets are also just a 3-minute walk away. Ilay's kindergarten is near the train station, about 7 minutes from our house.
