Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair!
We are an Italian family made of: me, Alessia; the mother, Tom; the father, Maite; our 4years old daughter, Miro; our 2years old son, Tamam (Tam for friends) our 7years cat and a new born baby who is coming to join our family in November!
We both parents are working as freelance, I'm a tour guide and Tom is a video editor.
Both our children are happy to go to the kindergarten really closed to our house and they are two very enthusiastic, affectionate, friendly, and nice children cleaver.
They actually love their babysitter who get on well with them, they play together at home or they go to the park in the afternoon. She is a creative and lovely person, she is a student in psychology and she Also know when to be strict and they easily accept it Because They trust and respect her.
Our children love to stay among people, they are Already two little travelers; Maite is only 4 but she Already sono stati in Thailand three times and once in Cuba.
We love to make us and our children happy and share with them new experience.
We would like to guest a happy and nice person, very curious about our culture but at the same time a real traveler, who respect habits and tradition and is looking forward to have a new experience in a new different country and will share it with a new local family. A responsible person who loves spent His time with children and having fun with them but Also know how to make them responsible in order to grow up with awareness of Themselves and other people.
We are very approachable people, very easy going family with many no specific rule but one of the most important for us is to respect each other in order to make all our different personality happy to live together as a family.

Job Description

Our au pair girl will have the task to help us to bring our children at school in the morning from 9-9.20am, Which is 5min away from our house and come back to pick them up from 15:45 to 16:30 every day from Monday to Friday .
Every weekday, depend on the season, on the weather and on the schedule of the children she will have to do something with them; On Monday, for example, this year they will go to the swimming pool Both, Maite at 17pm and Miro at 17:30.
Maite is independent now, she will enter in the swimming pool alone, I know for our au pair there will be the task to bring her at the course, change her and wait her for 45min, than help her to take the shower and dry her hair .
I will be with Miro and than we will meet again at the exit.
We still have to DECIDED another course to do to Maite next year ... this year she was doing an Inglese course at school, but this year I will count on an Inglese mother tongue au pair ;-)
This year we will see .. we are thinking about a pottery class on Wednesday Which is 5min distance from the school and last one hour. Maybe even Miro will attend to this course year..let's see!
I know, for sure our au pair girl will be busy with our children every afternoon from Monday to Friday, if she does not have to bring them to a specific class, she have to go with them to the park Which is 15min distance from the school.
We Will Also ask her to bring the children at home and around 18.30-19pm them take a bath together in the tub.
We will prepare the dinner and eat together around 8o'clock.
Our children, usually, play an extra hour after dinner and at 21 than maximum 21.30pm Should they go to sleep !!!
We Will Also ask to our au pair maybe two free nights at week, one during the week and the other during the weekend .. but not every week, depends on how is it going our lives.
In November we are going to have a new born baby at home know, maybe we will have better things to do at home for at least the 3/4 months ;-)
But if we will be away, she Should know how to cook simple food for the children or I will arrange something ready to eat for all.
During the weekend she will normally be free but Also this depends on how is it going our live, we are free lance and I still pregnant..so, we have to see how it will go! But for sure she will have at least one / two days off a week!
The advantages for our family Is that we are super easy going people, I know she will always feel free to ask us any kind of reorganization of the timetable When is it possible.
We are living in a very central area, even close to Polytechnic University (Città Studi) and very close to any kind of public transport, it will be very easy for her to move around the city if she will need to attend some classes in the morning or look for another part-time job.
The only two tasks That We ask to her are to be punctual and to respect the house rules.
She will have to tide up her room and bathroom but not to clean them up; we have a clean lady twice a week and if she do not mind Also we will take care of her laundry.
She will feel in a cozy environment-friendly, we consider ourself open-minded people; we Traveled quite a lot in our live, we lived with many different kind of people and we work with people from different countries..so, we know how to handle with different point of view.
Our children normally get on well with new people, they are used to stay among people and if you like children and listen to them..they will adore you as soon as they know you will!
