Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We're Joe and Fatima, a Spanish + English couple. Our first daughter Ayla is 4, and our second Emma is turning 2 years old.

We live in a 4 bedroom house in the countryside 45 minutes from Barcelona. The house is located 15 minutes from the coast, with lots of beaches, nice towns and cute villages around including Sitges, Vilanova and Vilafranca del Pennedes.

We enjoy cycling, trekking, playing music, good food, travel, games, movies, yoga - lots of things!

We can't wait to explore this with you and finding out what you're looking for!

Job Description

We're firstly seeking someone who genuinely loves to care for children, experienced with younger ones. You must have a great attitute, be a practical and tidy person, and be flexible to the changing demands of the household.

If you're comfortable sharing in the cooking, that is very welcome as it helps us eat a wider variety of meals. If you don't cook, we will be happy to provide some but not all of the meals.

The primary role is to care for our 2 year old while we work (from our home office). During this time we may assign some simple household tasks. There will also be times where you will need to take care of both kids.

We would like to agree on 4 months as a minimum, with 6+ months possible. Our current and previous au pairs have been helping 5 days per week, with 1-2 hours on Sat or Sun. We find that this provides you loads of downtime for rest, hobbies and exploring whilst providing much needed help for the parents!

You would have your own bedroom and bathroom. The house is large and in good condition so it's comfortable.

We can help with transport, for example providing occasional lifts to local areas/transport so you can also enjoy time in Barcelona or wherever you like :) Its a 6 minute drive to the nearest town Sant Pere de Ribes, where there is a bus to Barcelona also.
