Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello,

We are a family of four with two children: a 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl. They are polite, well-mannered, and do not require any supervision. We are looking for someone to assist with daily household tasks.

As a family, we are Muslims but not conservative, and we have no objections to other religions. Our roots are originally from Pakistan, but we consider ourselves Norwegian-Pakistanis, as our family has been in Norway since 1974.

We live just 500 meters from a train and bus station, which offers a 25-minute ride to Oslo city center. The language school is 11 kilometers away, which takes about 10 minutes by train. I am the family cook, preparing all our meals, and both of us work shifts, which makes it challenging to manage housework and other tasks.

We are looking for a flexible and positive au pair who can help us with daily housework. Our au pairs have weekends off and work 30–35 hours per week. We ensure they are provided with food and accommodation.

We offer our au pair a private, separate room to ensure comfort and privacy. Our home has three bathrooms, and the au pair is welcome to share a bathroom with us.

You will also have access to free WiFi, and we provide all meals and accommodation. Additionally, we are happy to assist with travel expenses to and from your Norwegian language course.
