Meet Our Family!
Hello, and welcome to our family profile! We’re a lively, warm-hearted family of seven (soon to be eight!), looking forward to welcoming a caring, energetic, and dedicated au pair to join us on this adventure. Here’s a bit more about us, our daily life, and what you can expect while staying with us in sunny Florida.
About Us
We are a multicultural family made up of Diana (28), André (30), and our five wonderful children. Diana, originally from Portugal, loves music, swimming, and cooking, and she works in a daycare center. She’s currently 15 weeks pregnant and will be on maternity leave starting January 2025. André, from Brazil, enjoys running, drawing, and biking and works at a bank. We met ten years ago after moving to the United States and have been married for seven years.
Here’s a little about our children:
Santiago (8) is passionate about football and video games.
Leonor (6) loves dancing, music, and is excited to be learning to read.
Francisco (4) is also a football fan and loves superheroes.
Afonso (2) is all about dinosaurs.
Beatriz (1) adores princesses and anything sparkly!
We’re also expecting our newest family member in May, so the kids are excited to welcome a new baby sibling soon.
In addition to our large human family, we have two loving cats, Mia (9) and Kiara (3), as well as two playful rabbits and an aquarium full of colorful fish.
Our Home
We live in a spacious three-story house in Orlando, Florida, just 30 minutes away from Disney World! Our neighborhood is conveniently close to various shops, restaurants, and attractions, so you’ll always have plenty to see and do nearby.
First Floor: Kitchen, laundry room, living room, dining room, playroom, and a shared bathroom.
Second Floor: Our bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and balcony, the kids' bedrooms (boys’ room and girls’ room) with a connecting bathroom, a guest room, and two home offices.
Third Floor (Your Space): You’ll have a private space on the third floor, complete with your own bedroom, bathroom, mini kitchenette, and a small living room to relax in.
Outdoors: We have a garden with a barbecue area and a pool where we spend lots of time together as a family.
Our Family Hobbies
As a family, we love cooking, spending time outdoors, swimming, beach outings, reading, singing, dancing, and trying out new experiences together. We also travel frequently, spending vacations in Portugal or Brazil, so we need someone who is open to traveling with us. We hope to find someone who shares our joy for family time and is excited to be part of our everyday adventures.
Language and Communication
We speak both English and Portuguese at home and would love for you to know a bit of both as well. This will help with daily communication and help you feel more comfortable with the family.
