Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au Pair,

We are very happy that you are considering joining our family! We live in Brittany, in a lovely seaside village called Kerity, near the town of Penmarch. The city center is about 10 minutes away by car, and the closest bigger town, Quimper, is around 30 minutes away. There are buses nearby and a language school in Quimper where many foreign students go.

We hope you will feel at home with us — we love sharing meals, discovering new cultures, and spending time outdoors. Our house is just a few steps from the ocean, and the area is peaceful, perfect for walks, reading, or simply relaxing by the sea.

Job Description

We are looking for someone kind, responsible, and patient who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Your main tasks will include helping with Anouchka’s daily routine (meals, dressing, playing, and school pick-up) and occasionally helping with the baby, Oona. Light household help such as tidying up after the children or preparing simple meals would be appreciated. A driving license is a plus, but not required. We value open communication, good humor, and a sense of initiative.
